2009/2010 EBSA EURO-TOUR

On behalf of the EBSA Board of Directors I have pleasure in inviting you to send players to take part in the Second event of the 2009/2010 EBSA Euro-Tour which will take place from the 12th to the 14th February 2010 in Lublin / Poland.

Closing date for entries: 31st January 2010.
The nearest airport is Warsaw International Airport (170 km) which has very good connection with Lublin (every hour depart train or bus). The ticket for train or bus will cost around 10 euro.
Another airport is in Rzeszow (150 km) with similar connection. The last alternative is Kraków (300 km) good connection as well, but trip to Lublin takes about 5-6 hours.
There are many Hotels near the venue,
Price for rooms should be around single-40 euro, twin-50 euro, triple- 60 euro.

The draw shall be made by the Euro-Tour Championship Committee. There will be NO seeding of players for the Round Robin Groups.
Format of the EBSA Euro-Tour:
Players Meeting: Friday 12th February 18:00 at the Venue
The round robin stages will start Friday 13th February @19:00 with 16 groups.
All round robin matches will be played best of 3 frames.
Top 2 players in each group will qualify to the last 32 knock-out stage.
Knock-out stage and all matches until the Semi-Finals: Best of 5 frames
Final: Best of 7 frames
The number of groups and the number of frames may be changed at the discretion of the EBSA to ensure the completion of the event within the allocated time period.
Please note, an entry fee of 50.00 ? (fifty euro) per player will be payable to the host association before the start of the tournament and that no player will be allowed to take part if payment is not made.
Closing date for entries for the first event is the 31st January 2010.
Late entries will not be accepted. No exceptions will be made.
All players will be eligible to compete in the Euro-Tour, subject to selection by their National Governing Bodies (NGB).
No referees until the Last 32.
There will be 4 referees at the Round Robin Stages to help and start all matches.
All Match-Scores will be live on Internet (12 Tables)
Total Prize Money 3000.00 ? If minimum 80 players
Winner 1000 ? + Trophy
Runner-up 500 ? + Trophy
3rd – 4th place 250 ? + Trophy
5th – 8th place 125 ?
9th – 16th place 50 ?
Highest Break 100 ?
In any case, the WINNER of this event will get 1000 ?
